Silver and Trilobite Pendant with Kunzite

$285.00

Long ago the area of Wyoming was submerged in a shallow sea where marine life such as Brachiopods and Trilobites lived. After millions of years these creatures fossilized and turned to stone and now can be collected at quarries in Wyoming and Utah.

This beautiful grouping of Trilobites and a Brachiopod have been set in a sterling silver setting and matched with lavender Kunzite, which is a mineral first discovered in San Diego County, California. The back of the pendant has an interesting texture I created by rolling the softened silver sheet through my rolling mill on a texture plate.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece, handmade, on an 18-inch sterling silver chain with a 2-inch extender. The chain and all the components of the pendant were oxidized dark and the high points polished to bring out the texture.

Metal: Sterling silver
Stones: Fossil Trilobites and Kunzite
Pendant: 2-1/4 inches long x 1 inch wide (6cm x 2.5cm)
Necklace Length: 18 inches (46cm) plus 2 inch (5cm) sterling silver extender chain

The necklace is hallmarked with my name on the reverse. It'll come packaged ready for gift-giving.
