Silver and Nephrite Jade Circle and Stick Earrings
These handmade post earrings are hand forged from large gauge sterling silver wire. The upper circle is formed separately from the lower stick portion which wraps loosely around the circle allowing plenty of movement and sparkle. The hammered texture of the sterling silver has been oxidized dark and then polished to brighten the high spots and enhance the details.
Literally tons of nephrite jade is found in British Columbia. A distinguishing characteristic of this jade are the small dark flecks you can see in the stone which are usually chromite or magnetite.
Metal: Sterling silver wire, including the ear posts and ear nuts
Stones: Round 6mm Nephrite jade from British Columbia
Earrings: Each 2-1/4 inches long x 1/2 inch wide (6cm x 1cm)
