Silver and Red Tiger Eye Ring
Tiger eye is a variety of quartz filled with inclusions that bring on the shimmers you see when light hits the stone. Red is one of the colors of tiger eye, the more common being golden-brown.
In this ring I paired the red tiger eye with a textured wire that looks good and feels good on. I applied an oxidizing agent to the sterling silver to darken the ring, and lightly polished it to a shiny dark metal color. Then I polished the interior of the ring to a shiny silver for contrast.
