Selene | Moon Goddess Silver and Quartz Druzy Pendant

I was inspired by this sparkly piece of peach-colored quartz druzy to create a pendant for the moon goddess Selene. Using sterling silver sheet I hand sawed the phases of the moon and hand stamped "Selenophile (n.) a person who loves the moon" on a round moon-like disc for the back. Using a "stone-on-stone" technique, I nestled a small piece of Mohawkite, from Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, into the crystals of the druzy. I did this for fun, but the Mohawkite reminds me of meteorites landing on the moon's surface.

The pendant is heavily textured front and back and oxidized dark so that the details pop.
It sits on a 3mm dark brown leather cord that includes handmade sterling silver endcaps and chain with a sturdy sterling silver lobster clasp.

Pendant: 2-1/4 inches long by 1-1/2 inches wide by 5/8 inch deep (6cmx4cmx16mm)
Necklace Length: 16 inches with 1-1/2 inch extender

The necklace is hallmarked with my initials on the back. It'll come packaged ready to give as a gift.
